Admission Procedure

Eram College follows a transparent, fair and student-friendly admission process in accordance with applicable CBSE norms, the rules of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the school’s academic policies.

  • Parents/guardians may enquire about admission through the College admission office or the official admission facility on the College website.
  • The admission form should be completed with accurate information and submitted along with the required documents within the prescribed time.
  • The College will verify the student’s age, previous academic record, Transfer Certificate / School Leaving Certificate and other applicable documents.
  • Admission is subject to availability of seats, fulfilment of eligibility requirements and verification of documents.
  • For Classes IX and above, admission will be granted only in accordance with applicable CBSE rules and the prescribed academic requirements.
  • For Classes X and XII, direct admission is not ordinarily permitted except through the procedure prescribed by CBSE.

After approval of admission, parents/guardians will be informed about fee payment, school rules, uniform, books and commencement of classes.


Admission Criteria

Admission at Eram College will be based on a fair and transparent process. The following factors may be considered according to the class and availability of seats:

  • Eligibility for the class applied for.
  • Availability of seats in the relevant class/section.
  • Verification of previous academic record and required documents.
  • Student interaction/assessment, where considered appropriate by the College and permitted under applicable rules.
  • For senior classes, academic performance and subject/stream requirements.
  • Priority categories, if any, will be applied only where permitted by applicable Government/CBSE rules and the College’s published policy.

The College will not discriminate in admission on the basis of religion, race, caste, creed, place of birth, gender or disability, subject to applicable law and Government/CBSE provisions.


Examination Pattern & Assessment

Eram College follows the CBSE curriculum and the scheme of studies prescribed by CBSE/NCERT for the relevant academic session. Assessment may include periodic/school-based assessments, subject activities, projects, practical work and annual/Board examinations, as applicable to the class.

  • Classes I–VIII: Assessment will follow the academic and school-based assessment framework applicable to the respective classes.
  • Classes IX–X: Students will follow the CBSE Secondary Curriculum, including prescribed annual examinations and school-based internal assessment components.
  • Class X: Students will appear in the CBSE Board Examination subject to fulfilment of CBSE eligibility, attendance and other requirements.
  • Classes XI–XII: Assessment will follow the CBSE Senior Secondary Curriculum, including school-based assessment, practical/project components and Board examination requirements, wherever applicable.
  • The exact subjects, marks distribution, internal assessment, practical/project requirements and examination scheme may vary by class and academic session and will be communicated as per the latest CBSE curriculum.

Attendance & Examination Eligibility

Students of Classes IX–XII are required to maintain the attendance prescribed by CBSE for eligibility to appear in Board examinations. Students must also be regular, bona fide students of the College and fulfil all applicable CBSE examination requirements.
